Level 1 Freediver
Instructor: Matthew Novakovich
I really enjoyed taking my level 1 course with Matt. He is very knowledgable and has a teaching style that made all of the material (both classroom and in-water) clear and digestible. In the water, I always felt very safe, and had a clear understanding of the physiology of what the body is experiencing. Some skills that I thought should be easy (and looked easy for others in my group) took a LOT of reps for me to get right. Matt helped me work through challenges while keeping it fun and low stress and eventually it came together for me. The group vibe was encouraging, collaborative, and was all about each of us making personal progress rather than feeling competitive or focused on just passing certification requirements. If you’re in the Northeast I highly recommend taking this course with Matt.
